Eighteen of our students entered the SASKA Nationals in Rustenburg during March and brought 22 medals home. Our club achieved 8th position (Total points) out of the twenty-seven clubs that participated.

Marika Prinsloo, Nicholas Martins, Willem Goosen and Martin du Plessis competed at the National championships for children (KASA) that was held in Durban. Nicholas and Marika both won bronze for kumite.

Our annual camp was held at the dam. Some parents brought their boats along on the Sunday and although we did practice karate for more than eight hours that is mostly what the students remember from this camp.

We hosted the 6th Eagles Karate Challenge on 17 August, The 378 contestants competed into the evening and ended the tournament with a brilliant team competition. The guest of Honor, Koos Burger, who recently received his 7th Dan in Andorra from Taiji Kase opened the tournament and awarded some of the medals.
